Baton Rouge Police Kills Man While Making An Arrest

After reading this news story and viewing this video, I can't help but feel that police have to much power. Not only are they abusing their power when it come to making arrest, but they are still using excessive force and killing people when there is no real reason to do so. Yes there is a movement , Black Lives Matter", but all lives matter! Police shouldn't be allowed to take the law into their hands, for they are required or supposed to enforce the law and not break it. The time has come for Judges to stop slapping Policemen and Women with petty jail time or suspensions. And start giving them sentences to the full extent of the law. That way not only will Black Lives Matter, but also every life that a police officer comes in contact with.

Failed Government

What happens when Congress and the Senate pass a bill that has no hope of passing or won't ever get signed into law by the President? Nothing and that's what's wrong with government today. Instead of passing a bill that both parties can agree with Democrats and Republicans write then attempt to pass bills that have no chance at becoming law. This is a waste of tax payer dollars or time and it isn't what the citizens of the United States of America elected them for. The problem with American government or politics is that there are too many egos and not enough compassion for its citizens. There is too much infighting, not enough compromise and no one wants to work together for the good of America. Rich Congress, Senate men and women are writing laws that don't effect, bring change or improve the lives of the average citizen. Instead the laws today are written with the intent of helping only the top 1 percent or the rich, while the other 99 percent of its citizens suffer.

For the last 20 years the government has failed its citizens and made many of them poorer than they were before they were elected. During this time period(1996-2016) the ranks of the rich have grown by over 250% and at the same time increased the wealth of those who were already wealthy. Today in the year of 2016 there are now more people on food stamps or welfare, many are homeless and uneducated, while our schools are under funded. Our infrastructure is outdated  and in need of repair, while crime is at an all time high. Government has proven time and time again to fail those citizens who voted for these elected official. Its the opinion of the staff at What America Needs, that a change needs to take place. Not only at the top of government but from all ranks of government. Its time for Americans citizens of all race, color, creed or sex to make a stand against those who only want to further their own agendas. Let our voices be heard and say, "That no longer will we tolerate a Failed Government, but only a one that works only for the people". Wake up America write in, use your social networks or platforms, help make America strong and respected again!

Whispers Of Black On Black Crime

There is a known crime wave that's been around for over 100 years and counting where other blacks or African Americans inflict pain or punishment on their own kind. No it isn't talked about on the local or national news and nothing is ever published about it in the local or national newspapers. But its well known and only talked or whispered about within the African American community. Everyday, every second, minute or hour African Americans or blacks are being murdered by their own kind. The fact is over 9,300 African Americans are murdered every year, with 93 percent of them being committed by their own kind. And that's not even counting the countless assaults, rapes, robberies or other crimes that are being committed on a daily basis. Why isn't this talked about or being reported? No one knows, but if an African American or black person is killed or murdered by a policeman or by another race there is an uproar within African American community, local or national Preachers, Pastors or the Black Lives Matter movement and the local or national news will have a field day reporting it.

One main fact that all Americans should be aware of is that Black Americans are killed at 12 times the rate of people in other developed countries and no one is talking about it. The offending rate for blacks was almost 8 times higher than whites, and the victim rate 6 times higher. Most homicides were interracial, with 84%of white victims killed by whites, and 93% of black victims killed by blacks. Also when it comes to mass murders, when it happens in the African American community is far more server than any that are reported by the local or nation new agencies. The question is why isn't anyone talking or trying to stop African Americans from being killed or murdered by their own kind? Where is the local or national news media and where are all the Pastors, Preachers or Black Lives Matters movement? Where are the Governors, President of the United States or others politicians when it comes to this issue? If Black Lives. really mean so much to a community why aren't they trying to solve or fix the issue of, black on black crime? Why when a crime is being committed within the black community there are only talks on the streets or rumors of," Whispers Of Black On Black Crime? "

Building Your Credit, While Making Money At The Same Time

Since becoming a finance manager for a local car dealership and assisting or helping clients acquire car loans or personal, I have found that many Americans lack a education when it comes to building their credit or managing their money. The main reasons for that is because this subject isn't taught in schools or being taught by their parents. If it were there wouldn't be so many American with little, bad or no credit scores at all. The fact is most Americans don't realize that having a good or great credit scores are very important and having a bad one could follow them 7 years or beyond. Without a good or great credit score some or most will be denied credit on things such as acquiring an auto loan, lease of apartment, eligibility of employment, purchasing a cell phone, personal or home loan and most hotels or car rental companies won't allow a person to rent a room or car without a major credit card. How important is credit? Lets put it this way without credit, in the credit world that person doesn't exist, people with bad or poor credit are treated like second hand citizens and those with good or above credit scores or ratings can almost write their own tickets. People with great credit scores get the best interest rates, can buy whatever they want, get a loan of any type in an instant and move first in line when trying to purchase a car, home or even when applying for employment.

The question is how does one build credit and what are the easy or simple steps to improve ones credit fast? After reading this blog I promise if you use these simple steps you too can start building your credit, while making money at the same time. The first thing a person must know before starting to build their credit is the credit bureau that whatever they do from this moment on will affect their lives forever. If you happen to be reading this I encourage you to take this very serious, because these steps will help you have a great credit score. Step one; get a unsecured credit card, sounds simple but in truth it isn't very easy. Why because most credit card companies won't approve a someone with bad, little or no credit. I know if you are reading this you may ask well if I need one to build credit how do I get one. That part is easy, all one has to do is go online then google credit card for bad or new credit users, after that's done just apply online. When approved then read the fine print , because you will find out that while this company or bank has approved you for the card it doesn't come without strings or a few little fee's attached. What are these strings or fee's, up front charges that the company or bank doesn't want you to pay up front. Sounds confusing? Let me explain if you apply for a Visa or MasterCard and have bad, little or no credit the company or bank will charge you a few just for having the privilege of a credit card. A example of this practice is being approved for $300.00 but once the card being received, the user will only be able to use $150.00 of it. What did the credit company do? Charged the user $150.00 in fee's just to have a credit card. For those who may be alarmed by this, please don't be because there is an easy way around this. Just pay the $150.00 once you receive the card and when used pay the balanced owed before the end of the month. Why you may ask? So that the credit company wont be able to charge you interest. Do this each time you make a purchase with your card and very soon the credit card company will raise your limit in an attempt to get you too make more purchases. Even if they raise your limit to $1000.00 never charge or purchase what you can't afford to pay off. Also by the credit company or bank raising your limit it also raises your credit score, as much as 100 points every 3 months. Which means you could have a credit score as high as 600 or even higher!

Another way to build credit is by taking a small simple interest loan, even if you don't need it. If a loan company or bank wants to loan you some money, borrow it , then put it in the bank and use the money you borrowed to pay the payments. Do this for 8 months straight with payments on time and watch your credit score rise while you make your payments. Also while the money you borrowed is in your bank you will make money on interest for the time it spent sitting in your checking or savings account. You may also take the money you borrowed and invest it in Cd's or in the stock market, but doing so comes with certain risk. Investing in the stock market one could loose or gain money with an up or down turn in the market. Investing in a Cd requires the money invested  to be secured for at least 1 or  2 years before an investor could regain the use of it. In life, investing and building ones credit come with risk. But the reward by doing these things for out weigh any risk taken. If a person is truly serious about building their credit quickly with an eye on making money, these are the easy and simple steps to do it. If you have little, none or even bad credit these steps will help you achieve a higher credit score and you will also be Building Your Credit, While Making Money At The Same Time.

Keep The Dream Alive

For those who may think this just a normal or simple holiday, let me remind you of something. Those trips to the mall, dinning out at your favorite restaurant , using a public bathroom and being employed are just some of the things many of us now take for granted. If it wasn't for those special people(civil rights leaders) in our past who fought for our freedom and our rights, then none of us would be able to enjoy even the simple things we do today. Now millions of African Americans now can live and go after their dreams or desires. Lets keep Martin Luther Kings dream alive and start honoring his wishes by coming together as one. Stop the violence, stop the senseless killings and please stop the stupidity. Lets come together as one proud people under God! Peace be to you all and please lets keep the dream alive!
Enjoy then remember the late Martin Luther King,

A Nation Of Name Callers

Yesterday something strange and unexpected to me, while I was watching television in a lobby a white gentleman came up to me , then started to call me a name. At first I thought to myself, that he was about to call me the N word, so I braced myself expecting to be called this very familiar racist word. What's strange is over a week ago while watching a college football game another white gentleman actually called me this name. Even though after some thought I figured he did it accidently and really wasn't aware what he was doing or saying. You see we both were cheering for the same college football team and we also wore the same jerseys. While I was waiting in line to order my food, two white gentlemen walked behind me, then one of them said, get behind the nigger before someone else gets in line. At first I was shocked and surprised that someone actually called me a nigger. Then I turned around, then smiled at them both, then turn right back around and ordered my food. I could tell that both were embarrassed by what they said, because I over heard one of them saying ,Dude don't you realize what you called that man? Then the one that said it asked, do you think he heard me and then he said yes. While I walk over to my table with my order, then both of them walked over to me and apologized.

Which brings me back to the word I was called today, by that white gentleman I wrote about earlier walked over to me then said, I bet you are angry because the Republicans won back the Senate, you left wing ,Democrat , loving liberal! I looked at him then smiled, then said sorry sir you are very mistaken, I am an independent and I am not loyal to any political party. Then I said to him is that all you have too offer or to say when it comes to the affairs of our country? Don't you realize calling people names who might not agree with you is not mature and is very childish? Before he can get another word out I then said I know you are more educated than that and you are certainly smart enough to come with something better than that. Its sad that everyday on the local or national news both political parties start their days off by calling the other parties names. Democrat, Republican, left wing, right wing, conservative, moderate, liberal, tea party, white party, black party, gay, straight, the list goes on and on. These are the names that our elected leaders and even its citizens use everyday. What most of these people don't realize is that no matter what beliefs or party we are loyal to we are all Americans. We all live here, fight wars or work together, support some of the same high school, college or professional sports team and in fact some are actually neighbors. Its sad that we have become A Nation Of Name Callers. Then another person walked over to me, then said you are right, but the President is a dictator! I said really? Do you really know what that word really means? Then I said the President can't be a dictator in America and then he asked me why. I said because in America there are Democrat's, Independents , Republicans in the Congress and Senate. Part of the reasons they are there to keep his power in check. He couldn't be a dictator in a free America even if he wanted to.

Don't Judge Me

A funny thing about being black and African American every time a crime is being committed or if something comes up missing the first place people look is at a black man. That is a fact that many black men or women face everyday being judge, declared guilty and prosecuted before they even know all of the facts. Being educated, successful or even being brought up is a two parent home doesn't allow blacks to escape racism. Even those who are committing racism, don't realize that they are judging blacks by the deeds of others. That fact came full blown when I was as work yesterday. Being that I am the only black employee every-time a crime is reported on the news involving a African American, I am the one they ask questions to. I get questions like, doesn't it bother you that there are so many black people killing each other? Why do y'all do that and why are there so many black females raising children by themselves? Why do y'all wear your pants hanging down? Then they would look at me and say why do blacks get very upset every time a policeman kills a black man and why do y'all riot? Shouldn't you guys be more worried or upset about the killings in Chicago, New Orleans and other black neighborhoods committed by your own people? And why does Al Sharpton Or Jesse Jackson only show up when this happens?

One thought comes to my mind when I am being asked these questions, what makes them think I am an expert or even understand why some African Americans commit crimes or do the things that are reported on the news? Yes I am fully aware that I am African American, but I never lived in the hood or any of those neighborhoods. I don't understand why our kind kills so much of each other and I can't begin to understand why some young black men wear their pants hanging off them. Rioting, damaging property and stealing because a black man was killed by a white police officer, that I'll never understand. What I do understand is that many black males are not only getting killed by other black males, but also by white police officers. I feel that when this happens any race has the right to protest peacefully. Not only should they be angry because a black man was killed by a white police officer, but they should also be outraged by the fact that nine out of ten black murders are committed by African Americans. If our young black men and women had real fathers, mothers or a role model to follow, then maybe there wouldn't be so many crimes. Maybe our young or old black men and women would be better people. Does that mean all black men or women are just like the ones reported on the news? No! There are many successful black men or women and just like there are some good police officers, that shouldn't be judged by the acts of some bad cops, neither should some black men or women be judge by the acts of others especially by those in Ferguson. In other words just because I am black and African American, Don't Judge Me! Don't judge my people for the actions of other  bad  or criminal African Americans
